1 Discovering the Morainic Hills by bike
a) Itinerary for families and no-expert riders:
In this type of excursion we suggest you 3 stops:
Borghetto, visit to the little village of mills and bicycle ride along the bike path of Mincio (10km)
Castellaro Lagusello, visit to the reserve (10 km)
Solferino, visit to the places of the Independence war (10km)
b) Itinerary for mountain bike experts:
Transfer by bus to Cavriana, starting from here you will reach the medieval town of Castellaro Lagusello,
then you’ll arrive to olferino and at the end you will return to your starting point in order
to be taken by bus to your accomodation. (35km)
c) Itinerary for expert riders:
The starting point of this excursion is Sirmione, the tour goes on to Pozzolengo and then it continues
to Madonna della Scoperta, Solferino, Cavriana, Castellaro Lagusello, Pozzolengo and
final return to Sirmione. (40km)
2 Valtenesi
Starting from Sirmione we will reach Manerba, passing through Desenzano del Garda,
Padenghe and Moniga. In Manerba we visit the Rocca (about an hour) and we
also suggest a stroll in the Natural Park, even if is noy for everyone.
From here, we travel towards the Valtenesi where we propose a stop in a local wine cellar to
taste some typical products and then we pick up the road to Polpenazze, Puegnago and Soiano.
At this moment of your excursion you can choose between two possibilities:
Padenghe, visit to the centre of the village, the Rocca and the castle.
Lonato, visit to the Castle and to the Foundation of the Senator Ugo da Como.
We return to Sirmione in the evening.
During the journey you can stop with the possibility to use the bikes through the cycleway or
through one of the dirt roads that you can find in the Valtenesi. Obviously we
customize the excursion considering the characteristics of the group.
